Gardening brings family together

Saturday my family , my Dad, my brother & all his sons worked in my Dad's yard. Lots of pruning, weeding & raking. It was so fun, hard work but the kids all were together learning "how" to work.Learning to drive the tractor was the big hi light of the day I'm sure! We made big progress. I cleaned my giant garden area in front of Dad's barn.Ohh what should I plant there???
Today Im going to shovel potting soil. Lots of it. But it's more progress, I love moving forward! Better get out there!

Its so hot!!

I'm not feeling too motivated today. Probably cause I feel like I'm melting!! Well next week I'm on vacation and I'm happy because I get to work on my plants!!
I just received an order of scented geraniums, so fragrant! They are a wonderful easy plant to grow. The fragrance is un believable. I have several new varieties that I will tell you about soon.
Time is short, I will post tomorrow!

The boutique is moving!!

Changes are happening!! Unique Boutiques on Mchenry ave in Modesto will be relocating last week of September. Im so excited!! The new place is bigger, has great parking and lots of other businesses and banks in same parking lot. It will be across the street from the old YMCA, behind wells fargo.
This will give my little space in the boutique so much more exposure. I will be hosting the occasional plant sale or demonstration under the shady area in front of boutique.
I'm looking forward to resetting my space and using new ideas for my expanding product line. I will be promoting my new stuff soon!!
I love positive , new change!!!

Friends who Inspire

Ive always been one to be a dreamer...

So, I'm always one to share my ideas to get feedback. I had a great day watching my girls play softball and hanging out with my friend Heidi. We bounced ideas back and forth all day, while we got sunburned!
We talked about new ideas and confirmed how some I need to get into action quickly. I cant let my creative side go stale. Its time to really keep digging up new thoughts on how we can succeed at this new direction for Lorina's Edible Garden.
I really want to network more. Successful businesses get out there! Ive been successful the last 10 years but
now that success will work for part "2"! I'm going to venture into to new territories. (new festivals, new craft shows ect.) Let me know about shows or places you think our business should venture.
Has anyone attended the Petaluma Art & Garden show? It was in July. I'm all ears, let me know!

New exciting things ahead!!!

Slowly, but surely, Lorina's Edible Garden is under a beautiful transformation! We will evolve into an active educational farm! Not only with gardening, but well be using the creative side of our brain!!! Our crafts and art will be more integrated into our business. You will see classes not only on how to be a better gardener, but also
classes for fun craft & art projects too!
So be patient & keep in touch! I want  suggestions on what you my friend/ loyal customers would like to see us offer.
Here we go on a new journey!
